PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Men Under Development (M.U.D.), Inc is a culturally competent, male development, violence abatement, pre-trial, and diversion program.
The program activities are constructed to meet adolescent, and adult male needs through weekly interventions but constructed as a follow up through and after the completion of primary education
The M.U.D. curriculum is comprehensive and consists of seven (7) programs; the most recent two (2) are Managing Pre-failure Strategies’ and ‘Empowerment Beyond Employment.’ 18 Learning Objectives are divided into three (3) matriculating levels of mentorship.
There are six (6) modules for each level. Level 1 (L1) is 'generalized' mentoring; it the categorical identification and distribution of information to meet the assumed need of the mentee.
Level 2 (L2) is 'specialized' mentoring to meet the perceived need of the mentee.
Level 3 (L3) is 'individualized' mentoring to meet the specific need of the mentee. The mentee will develop skills for becoming a mentor.
The total family is enhanced using only, curriculum guidelines for engaging, instructing, encouraging, monitoring, and performing with clarity; the differences of manhood, maleness, and being a man.
